Pasta Zanmai Midvalley

Pasta Zanmai Midvalley - our 2nd visit after we tried their set of food last time. We are really satisfied with the meal we had last time and of course walk out in a very full tummy on my birthday celebration. This Japanese restaurant is trying to mix Western + Japanese cooking together as their concept. Just by looking through the menu gave you a finger licking good feeling...

So, for this time we went there again to fulfilled our ‘tasty food’ appetite at KL. As we arrived there are no customer around since is a weekday afternoon. But then, the service is not that good this time coz the waiter and waitress is chatting around. We have to call them a few times to order.
We decided to order something different from what we had last time, although we hunger for it. This time the set we order consist of Clam noodle and Teriyaki chicken with Onsen AND Unagi rice set. In addition to that, Kampung hunter also ask me to order 2 Soft shell crab tortilla with spicy mayo. For the drinks, we just order a pot of hot green tea as the calories consumption for the food is already high!!!

Clam noodle > The noodle taste cheese and some onion as well. Soft and smooth. Clam was fresh and just nice. The soup for this is a bit salty for us. But then its still worth a try.

Teriyaki chicken with Onsen > The rice is Japanese style a bit sticky and yet cook well. It taste nice when eat together with the egg. For the chicken, its tender and juicy with the touch of teriyaki sauce.

<< Unagi rice set
This set comes with salad, miso soup
and rice too. I loved the salad sauce
and I think they had some peanut with
the thousand island sauce that they made it.
The main temptation here is the unagi.
I took the first bite and its so so tender
and fishy. It’s a fish so the fresh fishy
taste is still there. Recommended for unagi lovers!

Soft shell crab tortilla with spicy mayo >>
You can choose the wrapping (seaweed or tortilla ) and the sauce. The tortilla when wrap with the fillings its like we ate Peking Duck. At first mayo and spicy is not acceptable but then when we put it together with the tortilla its Oishiiiiii~~~~I finished up the mayo in the end and Kampung hunter look amazed at me. ^_^

The experience once again at Pasta Zanmai was great. Cozy environment, tasty food and the price is just average. For all these we end the bill with RM 64.80. And of course a great companion does add a little more enjoyment for the meal.
